Waters Day Spa Etiquette

The word etiquette as defined in Webster’s Dictionary means: ”Conventional code of social behaviour”. But what is the conventional code of spa behaviour? And how does one learn this code of behaviour if you are a first time spa-goer?
We have done everything in our power to make your experience with Waters Day Spa the best it can possibly be. To achieve these great levels of service we follow this Spa Etiquette, and you as a guest are invited to read this. Your absolute satisfaction and that of our other guests is our top priority.
As a Waters Day Spa guest please expect to:
- Arrive on time or early for your appointment, to enjoy the facility and to complete our Wellness Chart.
- Please turn off your mobile phone and refrain from smoking.
- While changing, undress completely prior to putting on your robe and slippers. You will be provided with disposable underwear for your comfort. During your treatment, your therapist will always have your body draped and undrape the area that is being treated.
- Please remove all jewellery.
- Allow your therapist to perform a service as reserved and timed. Please note that if you do arrive late, the treatment will conclude at the pre-booked finishing time.
- Give your therapist feedback as to your comfort during your treatment. Let her know of any concerns so as to gain the most benefit from your treatment and your therapist.
- Relax – that’s generally why you are in the spa.
- Enjoy – benefit and allow others to ‘do for you’.
- Know that you are in a professional spa therapy operation and do not expect anything other than therapeutic or spa treatments.
- Know that you may be silent or quietly talkative.
- Share public space respectfully with other spa goers.
- Please do not leave any children unattended as it may be disruptive to other guests and is unsafe for children.
- Relax, yet respect that the room must be prepared and used for the next Guest; so upon completion of your treatment, your therapist will escort you to our relaxation room.
- Give honest feedback to your therapist, spa co-ordinator or the owner as we are keen to know if your spa experience was as expected.
Unacceptable behavior What client behaviour would be considered bad manners?
- Lewd behaviour
- Inebriated
- Demeaning and abusive behaviour toward any staff member or other guests
- Guest insisting upon services without an appointment when spa is fully booked.
